Learn-to-Skate Programs - PreCan & CanSkate
CanSkate is Skate Canada’s only national learn-to-skate program, designed for beginners of all ages. It was developed by experts to teach the fundamentals of skating progressively and sequentially. When you sign up for CanSkate, you will be in a program that focuses on fun, participation and basic skill development. You will earn badges and other incentives as you learn fundamental skating skills. Lessons are given in a group format and led by an NCCP-certified professional coach. Trained Program Assistants assist our professional coaches.
**First-time skaters who have never skated before should register in the PreCan program.**

STARSkate Program
This is what figure skating is all about! STARSkate is designed for skaters of all ages who have completed PreSTAR and are eager to continue developing their skating skills and knowledge. Skaters entering STARSkate may still be working toward completing their Stage 6 ribbons and badge while advancing their technique, artistry, and overall performance abilities.
